Return of Cahir Gormley
The Return of Cahir Gormley: From That First Night to Main Event Glory
When Cahir Gormley first stepped into the ring for Long Productions on the Team Ireland Returns 3 show in November 2024, few could’ve predicted just how fast his star would rise. But from that moment, we knew we were dealing with something special.
The Night It All Began
Cahir came over for our co-main event and faced a very skilled, tough opponent in Antony Muta. Muta now stands 3-0 as a pro, a testament to his class. But that night, Cahir showed heart, poise, and raw talent, earning USA Boxing’s “Boxer of the Night” honors. After his win, he said in his post-fight speech, “I hope I get the chance to come back.” That line stuck with us, and we kept him firmly in mind.
The Call Comes in May
Fast forward to May of this year. We reached out and asked Cahir to join our summer show, Gloves & Glory. He agreed, and there was no hesitation when we placed him in the main event slot against a top Golden Gloves boxer. The stage was set.
He delivered a standout performance and took the win. Not just the win, with authority.
Then, a week later in Dover, he stepped in again, and beat another Golden Gloves champion. A few weeks after that, in Reading, PA, he took on yet another high-caliber opponent and came out on top. By the end of his U.S. run, Cahir had stacked 3 wins in 4 weeks against established fighters, all while learning, adapting, and growing.
More Than Just Results
What I see in Cahir goes beyond the record. He’s got consistency. Humility. A rare blend of maturity and hunger for his age. Off the canvas, he’s grounded, approachable, and media-savvy. He takes direction, embraces learning, and carries himself like a professional already.
He’s also proud of his Irish roots, from Derry to the U.S. and that authenticity resonates with fans, media, and brands alike.
He’s not just fighting fights, he’s building a story worth following.

What’s Next: Team Ireland Returns 4
We’re thrilled to announce that Cahir is back, and this time he’s headlining Team Ireland Returns 4 on November 1st.
He’ll walk into that main event with the weight of expectation, but after all he’s shown in 2024–’25, we believe he’s more than ready.
Mark your calendars. This one’s going to be something special.
